Welcome to Industrial Dust Control, we've been installing dust and fume extraction systems on many applications throughout the manufacturing industry since 1987. Our strong reputation has been gained by our tailored approach to providing solutions.
Industrial extraction systems
Dust and fume extraction are a main requirement of most manufacturing industries, with a greater emphasis on health and safety. It is important that a safe environment is created for the working environment and therefore ensures satisfied staff and increased productivity.
Do you currently have problems with dust or fumes?
These problems can effect many different types of industry. All of these problems, and others, can be solved by good design and quality installation of a dust or fume extraction system. At Industrial Dust Control we have a wealth of expertise and experence to advise customers on the best solution for their environment. Not only do we design and install fume and dust extraction systems, but we also pride ourselves in our after sales service and maintenance care.
All of our dust control systems and fume control systems are tailored to the requirements of the client and are designed in conjunction with HSG258 which is the guide to Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV). Our dust extraction units are designed to remove particles that are generated by fragmentation or mechanical crushing/cutting. These types of systems would be appropriate when working with many materials, such as wood, metal, food, pharmaceutical, chemical and composites. Suitable dust extraction systems range from a stand alone extract system for one machine, to a larger, centralised dust control system.
Our fume extraction units are designed to extract small, solid particles or condensed vapour, as found in many modern industrial processes. Suitable fume extraction systems range from a small fume extraction arm that will extract from a single source, for example a welding bench, to a centralised dust and fume control system, to extract from multiple sources.
Whatever your dust or fume extraction problem, our dedicated team will find a solution suitable for your environment.
Our approach is based on...
Initial site visit
Observe the problem and discuss possible solutions with the client.
Submit a proposal
A comprehensive proposal would be submitted that takes into account timescale , budgetry framework, running costs and maintenance requirements.
One of most important aspect of any proposal is that it encompasses any relevant legislation or guidance. For example HSG258 guidance "Controlling airborne contaminants at work" (Click here to view) This is a guide that the Health and Safety Executive may refer to establish if an LEV system is complying with legislation.
In some situations consideration is given to the explosive nature of the dust or fume. The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) places. Duties on employers to eliminate or control the risks from explosive atmospheres in the workplace. ATEX provides the framework for controlling explosive atmospheres and the standards of equipment used in them. (Click here to view)
Installation would be carried out fully trained and experienced fitters and technicians. A method statement and risk assessment would be provided. IDC is accredited to the Safe Contractor Scheme.
